CVS Extra Care Bucks print on the bottom of your CVS receipt.

*Request a free CVS card at the check out counter.

*CVS does not accept competitor coupons.

*Always have the cashier scan your CVS card before ringing up items.

*Always hand over your $/$$ CVS coupon first.

*You can use a CVS coupon with a manufacturer coupon.

*You can use two coupons on B1G1 items.

*CVS does offer rainchecks for sale items that are out of stock. Rainchecks do not expire.

*Look for the red CVS price scanners in your local stores. Scan your CVS card and it will print out coupons!

*What are EXTRA CARE BUCKS(ECBs)? “CVS money” printed on the bottom of your receipt. You receive them by purchasing certain products during a promotional period. Only valid at CVS.

*Do ECBs expire? Yes, the expiration date is printed on the Extra Care Buck.

*What can I purchase with ECBs? Anything in the store.

*Is there a limit on how many Extra Care Bucks I can use to pay in one transaction? No.

*What does FREE after Extra Care Bucks(ECBs) mean?
For example, the promo says buy 1 notebook at .99, Get .99 ECBs. You buy 1 notebook for .99. You will pay .99 plus tax out of pocket. However, when your receipt prints you will have a .99 ECB(CVS money) on the bottom. You can use the ECB to purchase anything else in the store before the expiration date. I save mine and use the following week.

I bought Tide for $5.97, I used the $1 off coupon from the Sunday paper and stacked it with the $5 off Toysrus coupon, I came out 3 cents ahead and I got my $1 extra care bucks for buying the Tide!

I made a purchase at CVS yesterday, 5ECBs when you spend $15 on Covergirl, it only showed up as $14 so I didn’t get the points. On my receipt it states Amount Needed to Earn Reward: $1.22. So if I go back and buy more I will get the ECBs? Or does it all need to be purchased at the same time?

I have a question. I had a CVS manager tell me that if I use my CVS ECBs first and then scan my MQ, I can actually get my total down to $0 after tax because the MQ will apply to tax. Then, I went to a different store, and they, in a very rude fashion, said I couldn’t do this and that it is wrong because CVS will lose money. They told me that the other store is doing it “under the table.” Do you know the answer to this?

I have not heard this…but I would be shopping the “more friendly” store. ;)

no

You would just need to buy $1.22 and then ECB will print.

Hi,
Does anyone know if CVS has changed their coupon policy? Tonight I bought 9 items and after using a 4 off 20 coupon and two other coupons, the register would not accept my coupons. It kept saying I had exceded the number of coupons allowed. So, I had 3 more coupons that would have taken another $4 off my bill. The cashier tried it several times, but it would not go through. I have never had a problem with using coupons in CVS until tonight, and I was really aggrevated about this. Because I had ECB’s, I still didn’t pay much, but still feel like they should have taken these coupons off. I am going to email CVS, but just wondering if anyone knows.
Thanks!
